Tedone's Agricultural farm was founded with the intention and ambition of continuing to build a bridge between Corato, a small town in Italy, and Oita, a large city in Japan.

The foundations of this wonderful bridge were laid by Francesco Ludovico Tedone, who loved Japanese culture from a very young age and left at the age of 16 for a year's study in Oita, where he was a guest of the Yokono family. During this year, Francesco grew up and broadened his horizons, understood the importance of intercultural exchange, got in touch with a culture far different from his own and became more mature, starting to trace the first steps towards the realisation of his dreams and his future.

Francesco's dream

"portare un po' di Italia in Giappone, e un po' di Giappone in Italia"

He told Japan about the landscapes and traditions of his country and, at the same time, enthusiastically explained to his family all that he was discovering about that place: traditions, new friendships, the language and customs of the motherland of the videogame world he loved so much. After the year spent in Japan, on the return trip from the airport to his home in Corato, Francesco told his parents that he would like to "bring a bit of Italy to Japan, and a bit of Japan to Italy".

Just two days after his return to Italy, unfortunately, on 12 July 2016 Francesco loses his life in a tragic train accident between Andria and Corato, in which 23 people are killed. After the accident, the Tedone family decides that Francesco's dreams could not end there on those rails, and commemorates his memory through various initiatives: a few months later the Francesco Ludovico Tedone sports and cultural Association is founded, the artistic event "Komorebi" takes shape and finally the Agricultural farm, which aims to bring one of the traditional products of Apulian culture to the beloved Japanese city: extra virgin olive oil of the Corato variety.
